WAT4CAM Launches New Irrigation System in Pursat Province

Modern irrigation infrastructure now serves over 5,000 farming families in Pursat, improving water access and crop productivity.

Pursat Province, Cambodia - The WAT4CAM project celebrated a major milestone today with the official inauguration of a new irrigation system that will transform agricultural practices for thousands of families.

Modernizing Agriculture

The new system includes 15 kilometers of modern irrigation canals, three pumping stations, and water management facilities designed to withstand climate variability. This infrastructure will provide reliable water access throughout the year, enabling farmers to diversify crops and increase yields.

Community Impact

"This irrigation system is a game-changer for our community," said Mr. Sophal, a local farmer. "We can now grow crops during the dry season and worry less about droughts affecting our livelihoods."
